Travel Talk 2-Island Explorer Tour

After Ali and I booked our tour to London, Paris, and Rome, I couldn’t help but want to see even more places while I was in Europe. A flight from the U.S. to Europe is already so expensive, but flights within Europe are sometimes as cheap as $40, so it made sense to try to see as much as possible.

After doing some research, we found a tour that went to Mykonos and Santorini that began 2 days after our first tour ended. We spent a day in Athens on our own, and then began our 5 day tour with Travel Talk.

Stonehenge Rocks!

London was perfect in every way.  It had been my number one international dream destination for as long as I could remember.  But as I mentioned with Oxford, I think I fell even more in love with the areas a couple hours outside of London.  On the same gorgeous day I met my city-soulmate Oxford, Emily and I also got to see the gorgeous, mysterious Stonehenge.

Athens: Limited Time Only

After our EF College Break adventure through London, Paris, and Rome, Emily and I had another trip booked to explore the Greek islands of Mykonos and Santorini through Travel Talk Tours.  In between these two journeys, we had a chance to spend about 24 hours in Athens.  Leave it to us to make the most of a short time in a city with so much to see!

I Left My Heart in Gruyéres

My favorite places and moments of travel are always the unexpected ones. I love being completely surprised by a city or sight. This is exactly what happened on August 1, 2013 in Gruyéres, Switzerland.

Gruyéres was part of an unexpected pit stop when my friend desperately needed to use the bathroom. We had just finished touring a Swiss chocolate factory and were trying to get back “home” to Bad Säckingen. We spotted restaurants and shops and knew that there would also be bathrooms. However, we didn’t know that we were about to stumble across what is quite possibly the cutest Swiss town in existence.

A Sunny Day in Oxford

This summer has been absolutely unforgettable.  Emily and I went to London, Paris, Rome, Athens, Mykonos, and Santorini.  We’ll have plenty to write about for awhile!  Tonight, one particular place we visited is on my mind.  It’s a town bursting at the seams with history, intellect, charm, and beauty, which is none other than Oxford, England.
